POEM BASED SYLLABUS
This a six month syllabus comprising solely of poems in the Sacred Islamic Sciences. We believe it is important for students to couple their understanding with memorisation. Each poem is designed to be memorised and is perfect for beginners.

Kifayah al-Ghulam
Shaykh Abd al-Ghani an-Nabulsi
This is a 151 lined poem covering the absolute essentials for every muslim. It consists of five sections, for the five articles of faith:

Aqidah (Creed): Beliefs about Allah, The Prophets, The Grave, The day of Judgement and it’s signs and The companions.

Salah (Prayer): It’s conditions, The major bath (Ghusl), The ritual ablution (wudu). Obligations, Necessities, Sunnahs, etiquettes, disliked actions and nullification.

Charity (Zakah): It’s conditions, pillars, recipients, distribution and calculations.

Fasting (Sawm): It’s prerequisites, Types of fasting, disliked actions, prohibitions and that which breaks the fast.

Pilgrimage (Hajj): It’s conditions and prerequisites, Obligations, Necessities, Sunnah’s, Types of Hajj and expiation’s.
al-Manzumah al-Bayquniyyah
Shaykh Muhammad b. Fattuh al-Bayquni
This is a 34 lined poem which covers the foundational definitions of the terms used in the science of Hadith.

Types of Hadith in accordance to their authenticity, along with definitions and examples.

The components of Hadith; the chain and text. Along with multiple definitions in distinguishing between variants in the text and chain.
al-Manzumah al-Aqa'id ash-Sharnubiyyah
Shaykh Muhammad b. Fattuh al-Bayquni
This is a 28 lined poem which covers the introductory beliefs in accordance to the Ahl as-Sunnah.
